Howard Payne University nominated 36 students for the 2010 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. The nominees are currently college juniors or seniors.
The students were recognized during the university’s Servant Leadership Chapel on Wednesday, April 21. They were chosen based upon their scholarship ability, participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, citizenship and service to HPU. Nominations were submitted by the university’s faculty and staff, and then reviewed for eligibility.
Those nominated for 2010 from HPU include: Amber Armani, Jon Beaubien, Christopher Bell, Marisa Bernens, Cara Brewer, Trevor Brown, Sydney Bryant, Brittany Buchanan, Matthew Bullock, Cara Craggett, Kathryn Curry, Hadley Foster III , Cody Hambrick, Sarah Harless, Michael Hatcher, Isaac Hawkins, Cathie Kilmartin, Whitney Knabel, Tabitha Livingston, Lindsey Lormand, Wendy Mainka, Jeffri Malone, Carly Newton, Danielle Parkinson, Scott Perkins, Rebekah Sherrod, James Sidman, Ashley Silva, Samuel Sorrell, Andrew Stallsworth, Lauren Teel, Christina Todo, Deborah Utterback, Lane Wakefield, Summer White and Corbin Young.
Students from more than 2,000 universities and colleges within the United States, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations will be honored in the annual directory. Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges has honored outstanding students since it was first published in 1934.
