Brown County emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the area of Highway 67/84 and County Road 153 between Brownwood and Bangs Friday afternoon around 1:30 PM. This was the third vehicle accident within 8 hours along the same stretch of highway.
This accident involved a four-door Pontiac sedan and a Ford Ranger pickup. Traffic was blocked on one of the eastbound lanes of the highway.
At least two people were transported by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for injuries.The Ranger sustained damage to the front-end of the vehicle and the Pontiac was damaged on the driver’s side. No information about the cause of the accident or extent of injuries was available at the scene.
Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Bangs Volunteer Fire Department, Brownwood Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Heart of Texas EMS, and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
