CASTILLOEFRIANIIIAnother suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection to the 2009 murder of Ronald Philen.

According to Assistant District Attorney Sam Moss, an arrest warrant was signed Wednesday morning and by mid-morning, 20-year-old Efrain Castillo III was in custody.  Castillo is charged with Capital Murder and is being held in the Brown County Jail.  Castillo was apprehended at his place of employment in Brownwood.

Moss also confirmed that the murder victim’s brother, Randall Philen, was granted a motion for a retrial and brought back to the Brown County Jail.  Randall was convicted of his brother’s murder in November of 2011. He was released late Wednesday afternoon on a personal recognizance bond in light of these new arrests and developments in the case, Moss reported.

Two other suspects, Alex Gil,Jr. and Pedro Rocha, Jr., were arrested earlier this week in connection with the murder case of Ronald Philen.
