Richard Ashton, a Brownwood retiree, filed paperwork with the city to become a candidate in the Ward 2 race.  Former Ward 2 City Councilman Ed McMillian turned in his paperwork to become a candidate on Tuesday, and Eddie Watson filed on Wednesday.
