The Brownwood Reunion Celebration starts tomorrow and organizers released the full schedule of events as well as the official festival map.

Crews of volunteer workers are getting the grounds of the festival prepared for a weekend of fun filled events and concerts. To make this weekend a safe one, barricades are going up Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. and only walk through traffic will be allowed in the festival area of downtown.
It will begin to look a bit more like Reunion weekend as the Pride of Texas Midway opens from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night.
Friday night will kick off events of the weekend with the 5:00 p.m. start of the Hands on a House Competition at the corner of Adams Street and Carnegie, followed by Everclear in concert, at the Celebration Stage (gates open at 6:00 p.m.). Opening bands will include Downtown Mile and Mike Stanley Band. Three day concert passes will allow purchasers to attend all concerts for just $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. Advance ticket sales end Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, KOXE, Wendlee Broadcasting, Brownwood Music, the Early Chamber of Commerce or online at CelebrateBrownwood.com.
Saturday will start with the 5K/10K run followed by the “Feels Like Home – Grand Parade” at 10:00 a.m. then the Honor a Hero Parade at 11:45 p.m. There will also be entertainment at several small stages throughout the festival grounds of musical performances, gymnastics, cheer and dance teams performing. Brownwood’s Got Talent will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and last through 2:00 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, festival goers will be able to enjoy the Classic Car show, viewing the photo contest exhibit, a variety of vendors, delicious food and snacks, face painting, caricatures, a car smash, dunking booth, rock climbing contest, and much more. The Lehnis Railroad Museum and the Brown County Museum of History will also be open for visitors.
This year’s Brownwood Reunion Celebration will be held September 20, 21, and 22. The community-wide festival features a variety of competitions, events, attractions, music, and food in addition to the main concerts. Get the full schedule of events online at www.celebratebrownwood.com.
