Brownwood High School’s Lions Varsity Players invite children entering the 1st through 8th grades to participate in their second annual Summer Theater Camp. The camp will take place daily in the Brownwood High School Auditorium.
SESSION 2 will be held July 18?22, 2016 from 8:00 a.m ? noon. This second session will be for students entering 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grades. A final performance by campers will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22nd.
The cost to attend the camp is $100.00 per student, costumes and props will be provided.
The purpose of the workshop will be to instruct students in the basis of performance with each participant featured in a final production at the BHS Auditorium on their final day of their camp session. Students will learn basics in characterization, interpretation, voice, movement and play production. Students will explore the use of imagination and observation in the creation of a character in a play. The final performance will be Friday at noon on the last day of each session.
Camp Sponsor is Mrs. Shannon Lee (BHS Director of Theatre). Camp Directors will be students of the Advanced Play Production Class at Brownwood High School.
