Brownwood Regional Medical Center volunteer Jim Ruder was honored as the August 2014 Volunteer of the Month during the September 2014 executive board meeting of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center volunteers. He has been a volunteer for over 7 years having joined the organization in February 2007. Jim serves as the chairperson of the book cart volunteer service area and also volunteers in the day surgery waiting, intensive care waiting, and at the information desk volunteer service areas at BRMC. He also oversees the BRMC Volunteers quarterly newsletter and publicity for the BRMC Volunteers. Jim has over 7,250 hours of volunteer service at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the award receive recognition and lunch at the executive board meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected. Each BRMC Volunteer of the Month recipient is recognized with a framed Volunteer of the Month Certificate, a ‘Volunteers, Brighten Our World!’ pin, and a ‘BRMC Volunteer of the Month’ Service Bar.The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a volunteer.
