BRMC Volunteer Dale Masey was honored as the May 2014 Volunteer of the Month during the June 2014 Executive Board Meeting of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers. He has been a Volunteer for over 11 Years having joined the organization in July 2003. Dale is a familiar face in the Surgery Waiting, Day Surgery Waiting, and the Book Cart Volunteer Service Areas of BRMC. He has over 9,300 hours of Volunteer Service at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
When asked why he became a BRMC Volunteer, Dale explained that he wanted to be part of an organization which had people who were enjoyable to work with. Dale also enjoys assisting patients and visitors to the service areas where he volunteers in at BRMC. Dale would recommend volunteering at BRMC to everyone in the Brownwood area.
The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the Award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected. Each BRMC Volunteer of the Month recipient is recognized with a framed Volunteer of the Month Certificate, a ‘For the Love of a Child’ pin which represents the motto of The Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers for the 2013 – 2014 Volunteer Year, and a ‘BRMC Volunteer of the Month’ bar.
