BrownwoodNews – Rindy Fulcher was named the winner of the “Faces of Brown County” photo contest held by the Brown County Museum of History.  Ms. Fulcher’s photograph, titled “Determined”, was the first place winner. The photographs were displayed at the Museum and voted on by visitors. Pictured above from left to right are Wanda Furgason, Museum Director, and Pierce Burns, Museum board member, congratulating Rindy Fulcher.

The photography contest was held as part of the celebration of the Museum of History’s new exterior, which features images of six individuals who were famous in Brown County history.

“History is really the story of people”, said Museum Director Wanda Furgason.  “We want to highlight famous and interesting people, past and present, from our local history”.  “This contest was a chance for local photographers to capture images of people from our area.”

As first place “People’s Choice” winner, Ms. Fulcher received a cash prize, framed certificate, gift card from Cotton Patch Restaurant and items from the Museum Gift Shop.
