Each BRMC Volunteer of the Month recipient is recognized with a framed volunteer of the month certificate, a gift card for a dinner at a local restaurant, and a carrying bag emblazoned with a large heart containing the statement “A Work of Heart.” The carrying bag contains items that celebrate the Texas Association of Hospital Volunteers motto for 2015 – 2016 “Remember those who cannot remember; knowledge empowers caregivers”. This motto emphasizes the need to improve everyone’s knowledge of the disease “Alzheimer’s”.
