Benefitting institutions include Howard Payne University for $25,000, Texas State Technical College Regents Circle for $5,000 and Brownwood High School for $5,000 with scholarships being awarded to students from Brown, Comanche, Eastland and Erath counties.

Students from school districts in Brown County include Bangs, Blanket, Brookesmith, Brownwood, Early, May and Zephyr.

“TexasBank is proud to be affiliated with such a significant investment in furthering the education of the youth in the markets we serve,” said Greg Dodds, president and CEO of TexasBank.

“Commitment to the education of our future leaders is extremely important to our board and ownership as evidenced in nearly $600,000 given by the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation over the past eight years.”

Dodds added, “Being able to make a real difference in the lives of these young adults and their families is one of the many examples of what sets true community banks apart from their competitors. There is nothing more rewarding.”
