SusanKingThe Brown County Republican Women’s Club will host their monthly luncheon on at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8th.

The Brown County and Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Clubs hosted a candidate forum prior to the election in March. None of the six candidates running for Texas Senate District 24 were able to achieve a 51% majority to win the primary resulting in a run-off election between Representative Susan King and Dr. Dawn Buckingham to be set for May 24th.  Early voting will take place May 16-20.

The clubs will host both candidates, Representative King and Dr. Buckingham, as speakers for their luncheons during the month of April.

Susan King will speak at the Brown County Republican Women’s luncheon and Dawn Buckingham will speak at the Pecan Valley Republican Women’s luncheon.  The public is encouraged to attend both luncheons to hear both candidates speak and encouraged to bring any questions.

Membership with the Brown County Republican Women’s Club is not required to attend the luncheon.  The cost of the luncheon is $14 per person to be paid at the door.  Please RSVP to Grace Hefner at hefner254@yahoo.com or leave a message at 325-642-6705 by Wednesday, April 6th.
