The author of “Texas Dames – Sassy and Savvy Women through Lone Star History” is coming to Brownwood at 3:30 p.m. on May 14th at the Brown County Museum of History Annex. The annex is located at 209 N. Broadway, across from the Brown County Museum, which is known as the “Old Jail.”
This event features author Carmen Goldthwaite who will tell stories that inspired her book, including that of Brownwood’s own Dr. Mollie Armstrong, a pioneering female optician.
All proceeds will benefit the Brown County Museum of History and admission to all museum exhibits, refreshments and valet parking is included. The event is also handicapped accessible.
Tickets are available for just $10 at the door.
