An auction to benefit Texas 4-H Conference Center summer camps will be held April 27 at United Country Heart of Texas Real Estate, 948 Early Blvd. in Early. The auction, which is being sponsored by United Country Alliance Auction and Realty, will begin at 10 a.m. A preview of items up for auction will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will also be a concession stand available during the event.
“The 4-H Center has been hosting summer camp programs for youth across the state since 1975,” said Mark Carroll, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service 4-H and youth development specialist and program director, Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood. “The proceeds from this event will help us continue these traditions.”
The 4-H Center provides traditional youth camp experiences such as kayaking, shooting sports, challenge course, environmental education, arts and crafts, dancing and swimming.
“We are very excited about partnering with United Country for this event,” Carroll said. “Cliff Waddell and his staff from the Early office are being very generous in hosting the auction at their location. They will also have their staff on hand to help us with all aspects of the auction on the sale day.”Consignments for the auction are welcome, he noted, including vehicles, implements, tractors, tools, furniture, sporting equipment, household items, farm equipment, office equipment and trailers. To consign, contact Carroll at 325-784-5483 or jmcarrroll@ag.tamu.edu.
