Tex Wayne Tomlinson passed from this life on Monday, July 15, 2019, 9:00 pm at the age of 80 years at his residence in Santa Anna.
Services will be Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church with Rev. David McLean officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday 6:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.
Tex was born October 20, 1938 in Overton, Texas to John Paul and Jewel Warren Tomlinson. He was raised and attended school in Coleman. On June 15, 1961 Tex married the love of his life Roberta Ann Morgan in Brownwood, Texas and they celebrated fifty eight years of marriage. He has been a resident of Santa Anna since 1977 moving from Sweetwater.
Before moving to Santa Anna he worked in Sweetwater at Chemical Express and was self-employed owning a Feed Store, Diesel Mechanic Shop and Tomlinson Transport. In 2009 Tex retired from Coleman County Precinct 2. He loved being in the outdoors, fishing, gardening and watching the grand and great grandchildren play sports and rodeo.
