ABILENE – Terry L. Shifflett, AKA “Fred” of Abilene, formerly of Brownwood, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, December 3, 2019.  He passed away at an Abilene nursing home.

Military honors graveside services will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Zephyr, Texas cemetery.  Girdner Funeral Home of 141 East Elm Street in Abilene is in charge of arrangements.

Terry was a beloved father, husband, brother, and son. He served his country in the Desert Storm war as a medical specialist.  He had a contagious sense of humor and never met a stranger.  He will be missed by many, but we know he is rejoicing being reunited with those who went to heaven before him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Revah Shifflett, his parents Jack and Corrie Shifflett, sister Brooksie, and mother and father in law; Ed and Lola Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Brandon Shifflett – Brownwood; sister Dee Dee Shifflett – Abilene; brother Mike Shifflett – California; Brenda Chapman; sisters in law: Virginia Horn and husband, Robert – Arkansas; Debra Simpson – Oklahoma; Shirley Stovall and husband, Gary – Early.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
