Terry Lee Koen, 55 years of Abilene, Texas passed from this earth to his Heavenly home August 15, 2018.
Terry was born December 10, 1962 in San Angelo, Texas to Campbell and Linda Koen. He was a 1982 graduate of Bangs High School. Those classmates have remained some of his closest friends. Terry was an entrepreneur. He ran Terrys Autoplex and as we all know he took over his dad’s love of Koen Mobile Homes and ran it in honor of his dad. Terry was all about friends, family, and his Primitive Baptist Church. Always helping others and a quiet servant of God. The light of his life were his son Derek Ryan Koen, wife Melanie and granddaughter McKenna Paige. His daughter Tamara Paige and granddaughter Kamberlyn Rayne. Tamara went to be with Jesus on October 4, 2014.
Terry is survived by the mother of his children Karen Koen, his son Derek (Melanie) Koen of Abilene, Texas, two grandchildren; his mother Linda Koen of Grosvenor, Texas; two brothers; Troy (Edith) Koen of Grapecreek, Texas and John (Teresa) Koen of Goldthwaite, Texas, one sister; Karen (Stanley) Fisher of Grosvenor, as well as a number of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A few of those who met him at Heaven’s Gates were his daughter (Tamara), his dad (Campbell), brother (Tommy) and nephew (Troy Campbell, Jr.)
Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Visitation will be on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday August 18, 2018 at 10 AM with Elder David McKamey and Elder Vance(Butch)Rogers officiating.www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
