Teresa (TJ) Spiller, 58, of Joshua, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the arms of her adoring husband, Dan. She was born on June 20, 1959 in Brownwood, Texas to Tom G. (Buddy) Wilks, Jr. and Leta Wilks Petzold.  She attended Brownwood High School where she was an outstanding track star, volley ball player, and softball player.  On February 12, 2001 she and Dan Spiller were married in Joshua, Texas and celebrated 16 years of togetherness.

TJ worked many years at Savills and then her prince charming whisked her away to work with him side by side.  They had many endeavors that included Sandy Beach at Lake Brownwood, Land on Hand Properties, and Wild John Construction.  Though they have had many jobs, the one they were most successful at was Jus’ Hav’n Fun.

Her many interest were her children, family, and friends.  She loved everything about the outdoors.  Hunting in the winter, fishing at the coast, and talking to her plants all year round. She spent her summers on the lake jet skiing, tubing and showing that at 58 she can still solum.  Above all she loved her time with her kids which included her smallest child Zoye, family, and the man of her dreams.

TJ is survived by her loving husband Dan, son Robby Watson, Jr. and wife Delia of Brownwood, daughter Terrye Jo Castillo and husband Jose Castillo of Odessa, Texas,  sisters Annette Wilks Brown of Joshua, Texas, Cassie Foster and husband Danny of Levelland, Texas, mother Leta Wilks Petzold and husband Jim of Brownwood, one grandchild Matilyn De Leon Watson, nieces and nephews Jenye and Jeff, Kobe, Mikey, Heather and Bryan, Bailye, and Rachell and a host of other family and friends whom she enjoyed being with. She was preceded in death by her father Tom G. (Buddy) Wilks, Jr. and paternal grandparents Tom Wilks Sr. and Agnes Wilks and maternal grandparents Russell and Alva Stanley.

Visitation will be held  6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2017 at Heartland Funeral home and services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Fairview Cemetery in Grosvenor, Texas.
