District Attorney, Micheal Murray says that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis, presiding.

  • Sharon Lee Carpenter, pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to Eighteen (18) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Laurie Ann Franklin, pled guilty to the felony offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Virgil Eugene Harrell, Jr., pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Felony and was sentenced to Ten (10) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Eva Michelle Miller, pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug free Zone and was sentenced to Ten (10) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Deborah Richard Tyler, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Theft over $20,000 under $100,000-Aggregated and Theft Against Elderly Individual-Aggregated and was sentenced to Nine (9) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Tyler, pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information and was sentenced to One (1) Year, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Sherry Lanell Gober, pled guilty to the felony offence of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Jimmy Ray Wells, Jr., pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Cory Chase McCorkle, pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further McCorkle, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to One (1) Year, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • George Alford Ford, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Clinton Anderson Grubb, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Criminal Mischief and was sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
