A Zephyr teenager, Jessica Armour, remains hospitalized after being involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday morning, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Duke Hoy.  Although she is listed to be in stable condition, Armour remains unconscious at this time, Hoy said.

Jessica Armour is 17-years-old and the daughter of Robert and Teresa Armour.  She is a Junior at Zephyr High School and has been involved in varsity cheerleading, and is a member of the Zephyr FFA.

According to Trooper Hoy, Armour was traveling on FM 590 near Zephyr when she rolled her Toyota Scion on a curve in the roadway at approximately 2:18 a.m.  Armour was the only person in the vehicle and was ejected from it during the accident, Hoy said.  Weather conditions prevented helicopter transport, so she was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center by ambulance.  After surgical treatment, Armour was flown by plane to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth later on Sunday.

A fundraiser is being held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Diamond R Store & Cafe in Zephyr from 12 pm to 3 pm.  Cost is by donation only, according to organizers.  All funds raised benefit Armour’s family to help with medical and travel expenses.
