Each semester, a teacher from each BISD campus will be given a “Winning Website” award. Teachers were nominated by their principals for having winning websites, based off of suggested criteria, and staff from their campuses voted on the winner.
The fall semester winners received a certificate and a $20 Gift Certificate from Mi Familia.
Winners are:
- East Elementary – Lisa Glasson
- Northwest Elementary – Jackie Stansbury
- Woodland Heights Elementary – Karey Morelock
- Coggin Elementary – Carene Baslee
- Brownwood Intermediate – Christine Moore
- Brownwood Middle School – Terry Whitaker
- Brownwood High School – Telise Murray
Criteria for a Winning Website are:
1. Contact Information – name, email address, bio, schedule, photo.
2. Helpful Information – class rules, syllabus, grading policy, etc.
3. Current Information – assignments, news, calendar postings, photos, etc. that are up-to-date (at least for the current six weeks).
4. Creativity – use of color, images, etc. to give the site interest and character.
