Brownwood News – Representatives from the Early Chamber of Commerce gathered with friends and family of the new Taquito Millonario location for a ribbon cutting on Monday, August 14th, at noon. The new location, housed in the former Mi Familia restaurant, is the fifth installment in the Taquito Millonario chain, which has eateries in Comanche, Brownwood, and Early.

A longstanding dining spot in Early, the Mi Familia restaurant closed earlier in the year and been purchased by Comanche National Bank. The building was then purchased by Maria Escobedo, founder of Taquito Millonario. Escobedo moved to the Brownwood area in 1977, and opened the first Taquito Millonario spot in 1997 on Highway 377.

“This is her dream,” said her nephew, Rudy DeLuna, at the ribbon cutting ceremony. “It’s a family business. She’s always believed that with God’s help, anything is possible.”

Taquito Millonario in Early is located at 1020 Early Boulevard, and opens at 11 a.m. daily.
