Tammy Jolene Harris, age 54, of Brownwood passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Bangs Cemetery with Rev. Brian Hall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. Tammy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 23, 1960 to James Evan and Barbara (Robertson) Harris. She was the second of two daughters, and later raised six children of her own.
Tammy attended Commercial College in Fort Worth, Texas and received a degree in Accounting. She worked some years filing income tax forms for many families. Tammy enjoyed art and crafts, decorating, her pets, and doing things for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother.She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Amy Slaughter; and two maternal aunts, Lynn Robertson and Randy Purcell.
Tammy is survived by her parents, James and Barbara Harris; five beautiful children, Amber Slaughter, Mark Slaughter II, Amariah, Peyton Cole, and Paige Meador; four grand-children, Alexis, Markus Anthony, Nathan, and Hailey; cousins, Sabrina, Samantha, Shanna, and Eddie Ray; one sister, Dana Kilpatrick and husband Mike; nephew, Christopher Robinett; and niece, Letisha Neuves. She is also survived my other relatives and friends.
