Emergency responders were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of Vine Street Friday afternoon.
At approximately 2:15 PM, a white Chevy Tahoe crashed into a utility pole and then into a fence. The pole was snapped in half leaving power and telephone lines down. The fire department closed that section of Vine Street for safety while the utility companies worked to repair the damage.
No injuries were reported from the accident but EMS was called to assess the condition of the female driver.No information about the cause of the accident was available from the scene.
Brownwood Police, Brownwood Fire Department and Allegiance EMS responded to the accident.
