Susan Kay Palmer, age 74, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in a local nursing home. A private family service will be held at a later date and cremation is under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Palmer was born on April 8, 1941 in Mason City, Iowa to Leroy Arnold and Vivalore Jean Lindsay Overland. She was married to Bill Palmer in Waterloo, Iowa. Susan had been a resident of Brownwood since 2003 moving here from Waterloo, Iowa. While in Waterloo she was employed by Rockwell International, was a member of the Eagles Lodge and of the Catholic faith. She was an advocate for many causes throughout her life and donated whenever she could.
Survivors include her daughter Cindy Notgrass and husband Kevin of Brownwood; granddaughter Misty Billingsley and fiancée David Hardy of Brownwood; her great granddaughter Audrey Hardy; one brother Michael Overland and wife Nancy of Spring, Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Michael Thomas.
