Government Technology magazine honored Texas Comptroller Susan Combs Wednesday by awarding her the Bob Bullock Award for Outstanding Public Stewardship.
The Bob Bullock Award honors those who are committed to public service and work toward a more effective government, using technology as a catalyst for improvement.
“I am honored to receive the Bob Bullock Award, named after a man who loved Texas, dedicated himself to public service and used technology to truly modernize the Comptroller’s office,” Combs said. “As stewards of taxpayer dollars, my tremendous staff and I realize the importance carrying on that tradition of using technology to shoulder ever-increasing burdens. We have a responsibility to every Texas taxpayer to leverage innovation in implementing projects like our Where the Money Goes online expenditure database and the Single Set of Books enterprise resource planning initiative.”Government Technology magazine presents the award annually in conjunction with its Government Technology Conference Southwest.
