AgriLifeExtensionThe Summer Agricultural Institute helps teachers solve the mystery of how food and fiber moves from the farm to Texas consumers. It is a weeklong workshop that helps you understand farming and ranching and shows you how to incorporate lessons about agriculture into the curriculum.

The Institute will be held June 8-12 at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Teachers who attend the weeklong course are eligible for 45 hours of professional development. They will take home a tool box of fun and engaging resources, including lesson plans, to use in their classrooms.

SPONSORS: Texas Farm Bureau and Tarleton State University.

ELIGIBILITY: Any active teacher can apply for a scholarship to attend.

CREDITS: The Summer Agricultural Institute is a three hour graduate level course. In addition, you receive 45 CPE units as authorized by the State Board of Educator.  Certification Gifted and Talented credit also is offered.
