Brownwood High School students Jordyn Senkirik (left) representing the Lionettes and Stephanie Chapa (right) representing FFA hold a check for $2411.76 that will be presented to the American Childhood Cancer Organization to provide research, support, and free resources to childhood cancer patients, survivors, and their families.

The two organizations worked in conjunction to raise the money at a recent BHS Football game by handing out gold ribbons, the symbol of childhood cancer, and passing around boots for donations.

A Quilt designed by Doris Rice and a pair of Boots donated by Scott’s Western Wear was also offered up as a part of the fundraising effort.
