Howard Payne University’s School of Music and Fine Arts is presenting a student art exhibit showcasing work from Drawing II, Painting II and Design II classes and featuring cubist, surrealist, film noir and collage projects.
“There are always some students who know they can do it and push themselves to get better,” said Joshua Pickens, assistant professor of art. “The artwork says something and has a story.”
The exhibit is being held at the university’s Doakie Day Art Center, 1310 Center Avenue, weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through September 15th. For more information, please contact HPU’s School of Music and Fine Arts at 325-649-8500.
