Firefighters in Early were called to a storage building fire Wednesday night in the 100 block of Mitsy Lane.

At approximately 7:15 p.m., Early Police officers arrived on scene to find the building completely engulfed in flames.  The structure was actually made up of two storage buildings in the back yard of the residence, one that was 14’ x 20’ and another that measured 12’ x 8’, according to the owners of the property.

The owners stated that they suspect an outdoor cooker started the fire, which they had used earlier in the day.  They also said that they stored lawn mowers and outdoor equipment in the buildings, which were a total loss.

The fire spread to a small grass fire around the building, which was contained by the firefighters.

No other damage or injuries were reported.

Early Volunteer Fire Department and Early Police Department responded to the scene.
