Funeral services for Stevan Ringler, age 58, of Lake Brownwood will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 9, 2012 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Jenkins Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Steve passed away at his home on November 4, 2012 as a result of a long battle with lung disease. His wife and daughter were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord.
He was born to Sam and Mary Lou Ringler of Brownwood Texas on February 16, 1954. Steve graduated from Crestview High School of Ashland, Ohio in 1972. Then went on to marry his high school sweetheart Diane Clingan and they soon moved to Brownwood, Texas. Steve was a carpenter and his wife worked by his side in the business for many years.
He was an active member of Victory Life Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and laughing with his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his wife of forty years, Diane Ringler , two sons, Jason Ringler, Jerrad Ringler and Rebecca, a daughter, Candace Herzog and husband Justin; seven grandchildren, Jasolynn Ringler, Stetson Huff, Harley Ringler, Kyle Ringler, Jeremiah Ringler, Grace Ringler, and London Herzog; mother Mary Lou Ringler; two brothers and their spouses, Keith and Jeanie Ringler, Seth and Connie Ringler; two sisters and their spouses, Julia and Sam Regan, Laura and Steve King; sister-in-law, Becky Ringler-Endsley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Ringler; brother, Matthew Ringler; nephew, Chance Ringler.
