A graveside funeral service for Stephanie Mixon, age 43, of Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mrs. Mixon died Monday, March 28, 2016 in a San Antonio hospital.
Stephanie Lynn Durham was born in Olton, Texas on June 15, 1972 to L.V. and Sandra Durham. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1990 and was a licensed CMA. Stephanie had previously worked at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
She married Nelson Mixon on April 15, 1995. She was a member of The Early Church and enjoyed reading, music, watching TV, fishing, puzzles and frogs.Stephanie is survived by her husband, Nelson Wayne Mixon of Lake Brownwood, two daughters, Cynthia Paige Mixon and M’Kayla Bae Mixon, and a step-daughter, Courtney Nichole Mixon; her father, L.V. Durham, Jr. a sister, Christy Lynn Durham Gray, and two grandchildren, CJ May and Jesse James Pickett.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Durham, a brother, L.V. “Skeet” Durham, III, and her grandmother, Wanda Lindsey.
