Brownwood News – The Arts Council of Brownwood presents the 22nd Annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit which opens this weekend.  The exhibit opens to the public on Sunday, February 2nd, at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center in Brownwood.  It will remain open daily through Saturday, February 15th.

Exhibit hours this Sunday will be 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Hours Monday through Friday will be 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Saturday hours on February 8th and 15th will be 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A total of 91 art entries are being featured this year from the 240 entries received.  The entries came from more than 30 Texas cities.

There is no charge to attend the Juried Art Exhibit.

There were numerous pieces of art work not accepted into the Stars of Texas Primary Gallery but you can see them at a different venue.

The Salon des Refuses of entries will be featured at The Art Center at 215 Fisk, downtown Brownwood, starting this Sunday, February 2nd.  Hours this Sunday will be 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, just the same as the Primary gallery at the Depot.  The Art Center will be open Monday through Friday next week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, same as the main exhibit at the Depot.
