TeamPalladiumLocal children with special needs are invited to join Team Palladium, an adapted cheer/dance team for girls and boys of all ages.

The team’s trainers and physical therapist focus on individual members who might need the routines adapted due to physical or cognitive differences whether mild or moderate.   The team’s goal is to build skills, have fun and give children an opportunity to perform both locally and regionally.

One mom, Brandi, summed up the experience of being part of Team Palladium by stating, “The ability for our children to participate in this type of activity is awesome.  The comradery between families has been amazing. To feel supported and connected to something bigger is what special needs parents want for their children.  Team Palladium rocks.  We can’t wait to see what next year brings.”

Now starting their second year, Team Palladium is now recruiting new members.  The team is supported by Seal Gymnasium, who develops the routines and directs performances, and local pediatric physical therapist Angie Cox adapts performances as needed, considering each member’s abilities and needs.  The group has been blessed this past year by sponsors that purchased their uniforms to keep costs to a minimum for members’ families.  There is no charge to participate and costs are only incurred when the team travels to performances.

A special information meeting will be scheduled in May (TBA) once the team receives contact information from those interested in joining as a new member.   Those interested in participating in Team Palladium are asked to please contact Dr. Angie Cox PT, ASAP with questions or to place your child on the list to join the team.   She can be reached by calling 325-642-6948 or emailing DPT325-642-6948rangcox@wtconnect.com.

Current members of Team Palladium will perform next this Thursday evening, after the Early High School talent show, around 8:00-8:30 p.m. at EHS.
