South Park Medical Plaza will be hosting its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting with the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 23 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Ribbon Cutting will be held at 11:30 AM. The plaza is located at 118 South Park Drive.
South Park Medical Plaza is in the heart of the Brownwood Medical Community, across from Brownwood Regional Medical Center, adjacent to the ER on the corner of Streckert Dr. and South Park Dr.
In conjunction with this, plaza owner Dottie Layman will be hosting a cookout fundraiser for the Brown County Big Brothers and Big Sisters. They will be serving brisket sandwiches and wraps, hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. Sodas and water will also be available. Carroll Fire & Safety owned by Dennis Carroll has volunteered to cook for the event.
Travis Medical Supply – Home Medical Equipment Specialists will have a four wheeled walker raffle during the event as well as wheel chair races.
FHCC – Family Health Care Clinic owned by Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Young will offer free health screenings. She will also be giving away (2) – $50.00 gift certificates to Chili’s.
Girling Home Health Care will have baked goods during the event.
Air Evac Lifeteam will have a booth will be giving away free t-shirts. They will be signing up new members and membership renewals as well.
