The Brownwood Feels Like Home Celebration will debut a new attraction during this year’s event featuring vintage campers from the group Sisters on the Fly.
Over 36 of the group’s vintage campers, along with a few retro campers, will be displayed during the Celebration September 18th through the 20th across the street from the Lehnis Railroad Museum. Visitors to the celebration are encouraged to tour these unique campers and talk with the group as they share their experiences of traveling across the country.The ladies of Sisters on the Fly, an outdoor adventure club for women, are known for their decked out vintage trailers they haul around the country. This summer, they could be seen going from Chicago, down to Texas and then all the way west to Ventura California following Route 66 all the way. But this group is more than just camping and cute trailers. Sisters on The Fly is an empowering organization that unites kindred spirits, whether the gals are fly fishing, being cowgirls, enjoying some cast iron cooking, shopping together, or merely floating down a river in Texas.
The Brownwood Feels Like Home Celebration is a community-wide festival held September 18-20th in Brownwood, Texas featuring a variety of competitions, attractions, music, and food as well as a concert featuring Josh Turner and Uncle Kracker. This year’s festival marks the 15th year of the event.
