The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a press release regarding a vehicle accident involving a Brownwood man.
An Abilene woman was killed and three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash about 9:45 p.m. Saturday 10 miles north of Winters on U.S. Highway 83.
Linda Armstrong, 54, was a passenger and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the DPS. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Injured in the wreck were the driver, Jennifer Zamosky Baker, 43, of Abilene; Richard Dale Brannon, 50, of Brownwood; and Jerome Elliott Ranallo, 19, of Abilene. Those injured were not wearing seat belts according to the DPS. They were all taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene for treatment of their injuries.
The DPS said that conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash. The vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet 4-door sedan, went off the road and overturned. DPS Trooper Brian Gahagan is investigating the incident.
