Brownwood police were called regarding an incident at Whataburger on Thursday morning after a man pulled out a .357 Magnum and two rifles according to Brownwood Police reports.

The report indicates that the victim confronted 22-year-old Marcus Gerard Cabrera and 21-year-old Brandon Chance Hill after they allegedly made lewd comments about the women he was with.   The victim told police that Cabrera pulled a .357 Magnum out of the console of his vehicle.  The police report also states that Cabrera then showed the complainant the cylinder fully loaded with eight rounds, then said, “I’ve been killing…overseas and all I have to do is pull the trigger.”  He also reached into the back of the vehicle and pulled out two .22 caliber rifles according to the report.  After brandishing the guns, the two men drove off.

The police report states that the complainant was fearful for his life and also that of the public, as Cabrera and Hill were not only armed, but allegedly intoxicated.  He followed them and then called the police again to report the men had parked at Wal-Mart.

Two officers went into Wal-Mart where they detained the men for questioning.  The report states that Cabrera and Hill had the odor of alcohol on them and when asked by the officers, Hill admitted to “having a few” and Cabrera then said he had about six beers.  The officers asked how they arrived at Wal-Mart and the men answered that they had driven there in the Grey Dodge truck.  When officers asked if there were any weapons in the truck, Cabrera claimed the .357 Magnum was in the truck but belonged to his girlfriend.  All the weapons were confiscated.

The police report states that due to the state of the men’s intoxication and their admission to having several beers, and having been at the scene of the crime involving firearms, the men were believed to be a danger to themselves and others.  Hill was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Cabrera was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
