Shirley Hauge Oines, 79, left to her eternal resting place surrounded by her loved ones to be with the love of her life Donald who preceded her in death by 40 years. She was welcomed in Heaven by her parents, brother Jerry, daughter in law Gail, niece Sara and her beloved 25 year old cat Fluffy.

She is survived by her 4 sons Gregory Dean Oines, Jeffrey Alan Oines and wife Christie, Dr. Stephen Paul Oines and wife Lynette and Daniel Jon Oines.

Her cherished grandchildren Garret and wife Desiree, Sierra, Madeline, Abigail, Seth and Chesney.  Her great grandchildren Riley, Paxton, Arrow, Lucca and Aubrey.  Her siblings Betty Hauge, Judith (Allan) Lynch, Arlan (Kathy) Hauge. And sister in law Betty Hauge. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother. Nothing brought her greater joy than being around her four boys, her grandchildren and her great children.  No one could throw better parties than our beloved Mother. Not only would everything be made from scratch but it was delicious.  While raising her sons, she helped implement the Art department in their elementary school. Shirley loved politics and hosted numerous fundraisers in her home. She was an avid member of the medical society in San Antonio. Shirley had a flair for art and decorating, once her sons were grown she began painting more frequently. Her artwork lives on in the homes of her loved ones.

Our family would like to thank the ICU nurses at Brownwood Regional Medical Center and Solaris Hospice. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tom Byrd and Dr. Narendra Nigalye for their care. Aunt Judy and Uncle Al thank you for your devotion to your sister and our family. Your help and stories got us through this trying time.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the MS Society or Alzheimer’s Association.www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
