Brownwood News – On November 15, 2017, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Team, assisted by the Brownwood Police Department and Investigator Gover, executed a search and arrest warrant for methamphetamine on Steven Trevino Hernandez and Armando Garza Jr.

 

The two men were located at a residence in the 1200 block of Gant Street in Bangs, Texas. During the execution of the search warrant, approximately 90 grams of methamphetamine (without packaging) was seized along with methamphetamine distribution and drug paraphernalia, .9 grams of black tar heroin, and less than 2 ounces of marijuana. Also present in the home was Garza’s girlfriend, Josephine Flores.

The location where the drugs were discovered is within 1,000 feet of the Bangs Independent School District Bus Barn. Hernandez, Garza, and Flores were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance in penalty group one more than 4 grams, but less than 200 grams in a Drug Free Zone. Garza and Flores were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in penalty group one less than one gram in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana less than two ounces in a Drug Free Zone.

All three defendants were charged with First Degree Felony – Possession of a Controlled Substance 4g<200g with Intent to Deliver.
