Press Release – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has coordinated efforts with a coalition of Central Texas Sheriff’s Offices which include: Coryell County Sheriff’s Office, Mills County Sheriff’s Office, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, Lampasas Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and Bosque County Sheriff’s Office. Together this coalition of sheriff’s offices has planned and organized a collection of much needed resources for the first responders and volunteers that continue to work around the clock in bringing relief and hope to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
These sheriffs, deputies and staff will make a trip to Aransas County to provide hot grilled meals for the first responders and volunteers on September 29th thru October 1st. Our patrol deputies will also assist with patrols, security assignments and transports of personnel, resources and equipment. Our mission is to be servants to our brothers.
We will be the second or third wave of assistance and resources for these men and women that work tirelessly for their communities. Your kind donations of briskets, pork butts, hamburger meat, hotdogs, chicken, and all the fixings are very much appreciated and can be dropped off at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office or call me and I’ll come get it from you. Other items accepted for donation for public distribution are: new packaged socks, underwear and tee-shirts of all sizes, toiletries items, diapers, diaper wipes, baby formula, ball caps, box fans, cleaning supplies such as rubber gloves, spray bottles, trash bags, safety glasses, work gloves, mops, brooms, shovels, five-gallon buckets, dust pans, disinfecting wipes, bleach solvents, mosquito and bug repellents, ropes, and tarps. Monetary donations will be accepted.
Thank you all for your consideration of this effort.
Sincerely,
Vance Hill, Sheriff
