In separate incidents:
*BCSO was assisted by the US Postal Inspector’s Office which had been conducting an investigation into several suspicious packages being delivered to a residence in the Green Oaks Trailer Park. Investigator Carlyle Gover identified the person living at the address as 63-year-old Kaye Hudson. Packages were being mailed to her from an address in Amarillo, Texas according to the Sheriff’s office. On the morning of February 18th, Investigator Gover was contacted by a Postal Inspector regarding another package that had arrived for delivery at the suspected address.
The BCSO enlisted the help of Comanche Police Department K-9 Officer Chris Lambert in conducting a free air search on the package in which the K-9 partner, “Fudge” indicated that drugs were present. The package was then delivered to Hudson according to the reports. Around 5:30pm, BCSO deputies executed the search warrant and found Hudson sitting on her bed inspecting the contents of the package according to authorities. The contents of the package included more than 14 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Evidence found at the location supported the distribution of the methamphetamine in the Brownwood, Brown County area investigators said. Kaye Hudson was arrested for Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance over 4g, but less than 200g. Investigation into the distribution network is ongoing, and Sheriff Bobby Grubbs said that he expects further arrests in this matter.
