Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs will undergo open heart surgery this Wednesday according to Chief Deputy Bobby Duvall from Sheriff’s office.
Grubbs will have the surgery to replace a collapsing heart valve, and he will be out from his office for at least 6 weeks for recovery following the surgery. The Sheriff had an angiogram performed last Friday and doctors learned that he has no heart blockage which bodes well for Wednesday’s surgery.
Grubbs‘ doctor said that once he’s gotten past the recovery and healing from surgery, he will be feeling much better, perhaps better than he has felt in years Duvall said.
“We here at the Sheriff’s Office are greatly concerned for Sheriff Grubbs and many are praying a highly successful surgery and a speedy recovery,” Duvall said. “We greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers for Sheriff Grubbs as he goes through this difficult surgery and recovery.”
Grubbs’ surgery is scheduled for early Wednesday morning.
