Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department has responded to the following calls in recent days.

On Friday, March 13, at 15:24 hours, Deputy Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center.  This was in regards to theft.  Upon arrival, Deputy Bastardo spoke with a subject who said a man agreed to pay him for a welder but he has not received any money.  A report was taken.  The location was Avenue A in Blanket.

On March 13, at approximately 16:26 hours, Deputy Davis was dispatched to Windjammer Drive in May, Texas.  This was regarding a reported prior stolen motorcycle.

On Saturday, March 14, at 10:00 hours, Deputy Jayson Bastardo received information from Lt. Scott Bird on a possible suicidal subject on FM 590 South. After further investigation, an information report was taken.

On March 14, at approximately 13:42 hours, Deputy Davis was dispatched to County Road 176 in Bangs.  This was regarding a reported prior theft that occurred.

On March 14, at approximately 20:39 hours, Cpl. Hopson initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan SUV at FM 45 and FM 2126.  A man was subsequently arrested for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.  He was taken to the Brown County Jail.  He possessed approximately 2.01 ounces of marijuana and approximately 108.5 grams of Controlled Substance THC.

On March 15, an illegal dumping was located on FM 1849/County Road 136.  A report was made by Officer Saydie Hammonds.

 

 

BROWNWOOD POLICE REPORT

On March 16,2020 at approximately 18:14 hours Officer Vallejo was dispatched to 401 W. Commerce (Walmart) for a theft that had occurred. He was advised that there was a theft that occurred on March 14, 2020 by unidentified man. Report was taken.

On March 16th, 2020 at approximately 1900 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a call of Trespassing in the 3400 block of 3rd Street. A report was taken for this incident.

On March 16th, 2020 at approximately 21:00 hours, Officers with the Bcownwood Police Department responded to the 2500 block at Vincent in reference to Theft of Property.  A report was generated for this incident.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at approximately 0144 hours, a cyclist was stopped in the 1700 Blk of Ave D for riding without a light on his bike. A man was arrested for fail to identify during this stop.
