Sharon M. Sabatke, age 68, of Bangs and formerly of Menamonie, Wisconsin, died Friday, December 9, at her home in Bangs.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home in Early with cremation to follow and a memorial service to be held later in Wisconsin.
She was born August 27, 1943 in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lloyd and Doris Wieman Sabatke. She grew up in Menamonie, Wisconsin and later attended college at Eau Claire where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Stout where she received her Master’s degree and was currently working on her Doctorate through Capalla University. She worked in the Education field in many areas including the University of Wisconsin System, Texas State Technical Institute in the West Texas Area and Western College in Snyder, Texas. She had been a resident of Bangs for the past five years and had served as a board member for the ARK, a shelter for battered women in Brownwood. She was a member of the Lutheran church.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Sabatke of Menomonie, Wisconsin

She was preceded in death by her father and husband, Douglas McVey.
