Brownwood News – The Storm Prediction Center has increased the chance for severe weather Friday night into the early morning hours of Saturday. Storms are predicted to begin around 3:00 pm roughly along a line from Lubbock to Midland Odessa. The storms are expected to approach our area from the west around sunset or just after.
Storms will be capable of producing damaging straight line winds and large hail. Forecasters say the worst of the weather should move east of our area by midnight leaving behind non-severe showers and possibly a storm.
The forecast also calls for lingering showers and perhaps a storm Saturday morning, ending Saturday afternoon.
