Members of the Bangs High School Dragon Band competed Saturday Feb. 8 in the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Howard Payne University and several members will be advancing to state competition.
A brass ensemble comprised of Dylan Rudloff, Jarryd Evans, Kaitlyn Bush, Shelby Light, and Nick Perez qualified for the UIL State Solo and Ensemble competition which will be held in May in Austin. Ethan Enriquez also qualified for state as a soloist.In addition to these awards, 9 soloists earned division I ratings and gold medals.
The band is under the direction of Ronnie Luedke and Charla Garcia.
