Coaches have been announced for the annual Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes 2020 All-Star Festival.

Leading the football squads will be Brownwood’s Sammy Burnett for the Blue team and Eastland’s James Morton for the Red team.

Rounding out the Blue coaching squad are Junction’s John Contrucci, Cross Plains’ Gary Moses, Abilene Cooper’s Aaron Roan, Blanket’s Tyler Tabor and Clack Middle School’s Luke Harrison.

Coaching on the Red team staff will be Clyde’s Scott Campbell, Stephenville’s Sterling Doty, Olney’s Jody Guy, Ballinger’s Marvin Wilson and Wylie West Middle School’s Josh Gillespie.

Wall High School volleyball coach Robynn Jones and Brady baseball coach Rocky Bernal have been selected to lead teams in their respective sports.

In addition, Brownwoods Jennifer Lynn was named head softball coach for the South team and Brownwood girls golf coach, Laura Martin, will coach the girls golf team.  Mykia Anderson from Cross Plains will coach the south women’s basketball.

The event is scheduled for June 7-13 in four different Big Country cities. It will feature more than 300 of the area’s top student-athletes participating in one of seven sports: football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, golf and cheerleading.

The rosters will be announced at a special ceremony set for 2 p.m. Feb. 16 at Beltway Church’s south campus in Abilene.
