The Awakening America Alliance is planning a prayer meeting at all county courthouses in the United States on September 11th, 2009.
This national prayer meeting, called Cry Out America, is intended to be used not only to commemorate the terror attacks on 9/11, but to pray for the nation as a whole and each of 3141 counties in the United States.
Michael Sweetman, local coordinator of the event, received authorization from the county on Monday to use the Brown County courthouse for this event.
The prayer meeting is scheduled to start at noon on September 11th, 2009.
The Awakening America Alliance website says:
On September 11, 2001, America was shaken to its foundations by a series of surprise terrorist attacks. All of us were awakened to the new reality of global terrorism. Eight years later our nation needs to be awakened again, not just to the threats of terrorism, but to our critical spiritual condition.
