leapinglionGraham – The Brownwood Lions’ baseball season ended Thursday night in the Region I-3A finals with a 5-0 one-game playoff loss to the Kennedale Wildcats.

Brownwood pitcher Graylon Brown threw a complete game as teammates James Crow and Vance McShan both were out of the pitching rotation due to recent injuries. Brown allowed only six hits and two walks.

It was anyone’s game with a score of 1-0 going into the 6th inning when Kennedale scored on back-to-back hits, taking advantage of a Brownwood error, and buidling a strong lead.

Brownwood had 3 hits and 3 errors in the game.

The Lions end the season with a record of 27-9.
